Turtle Run

This is taken from a photograph I took of a baby sea turtle release done in Mexico last year. Because of the danger to the turtles, it was done after dusk. I therefore decided to keep it monochromatic. This piece is very textured. Fine pieces of glass were used to create a sand look and feel. The last turtle is a dimensional glass turtle made with a special technique to be able to fuse it to the glass. The painting is done with glass enamel paints specially made to be fired in a kiln.
